Harwell Inclusive Play
Contemporary Robina play equipment incorporated to encourage inclusive play
A very tired, underutilised and boring play area was redesigned to create an exciting and engaging play area for all ages and abilities of young people.
Existing features and a large mound proved invaluable in the new play area. Introducing a range of Robinia play equipment including a 4m tower and bridge have proved favourites.
A series of grants including WREN contributed to a total project value of nearly £85,000. Anthony Stiff Associates advised throughout the grant application and design process. We ran a competitive tender process to choose the best contractor for the job and supervised the whole installation process.
Construction work started in autumn 2012 and the final phase was completed in summer 2013.
